Because they make a killing!
Remember that old Louis Armstrong quote about Jazz? "If you have to ask, you'll never know." Some people don't like Jazz. Some don't like Shakespeare. Some, apparently, don't like Dylan. Doesn't affect my enjoyment of his music.

“i don't know what you mean by multi-touch, but clearly the droid's touch interface is nowhere near as sophisticated or easy to use as the iPhone's. This is probably most evident in the map and web browser apps. The droid requires you to use zoom buttons and/or double tap, which means you can't control the zoom level fluidly or precisely.

Hmm sounds familiar...?
norman619, thanks for the gringo tourist left-speak, but exactly what are you willing to bet?have you ever seen that Palestinian Mickey Mouse on TV, who teaches kids to be martyrs? I think that some kids are being given the wrong kind of TV, and that's the kind of TV you need to be worried about |

Seriously. What's a blank VHS cost these days, $0.05? Although, you'll probably spend more in gas trying to find a place that'll sell one of those, so maybe MS Paint wasn't such a bad option, anyway.

Well, if there were a way to validate the suggestion, having a look at the results of such an event would be useful in looking at how the carbon released by humans over the past 3 centuries will impact the environment. One of the more recent claims has been that since there is no history of so much carbon dioxide being released in a short span of time, it is impossible to model the actual effects with any sense of reliability. The problem with using this type of an event however is that there is insufficient evidence of what really happened. It is speculation and does nothing useful for providing a benchmark to compare the impact against. About the only thing that can be said is that a lot of critters died as a result of some event, including most of the larger species. Not exactly 'good' for us. |
