It's not that they don't care, it's that the Democratic party wants to do everything they can to get as many illegal immigrants voting as possible. Anything that limits the ability of illegals to vote or draws attention to the number of illegals in this country is against their agenda. Be that by granting amnesty, or preventing laws from being passed to require ID's to vote, or by preventing questions from being asked on the Census form.
