Verizon management is hoping that the Droid will save their jobs after they made the worst management decision in decades. They passed on the opportunity to have exclusive rights to iPhone. AT&T picked up iPhone and it has brought them close to passing Verizon Wireless as the largest wireless carrier in the U.S. Verizon has 89 million subscribers and AT&T thanks to iPhone now has 82 million. Another management decision that may prove fatal is that they are now introducing 14 new products which may only confuse consumers. 14 new products is a sign that Verizon is in panic mode. So much hope put into an a gadget that is unproven with the consumers.
@lackyB: I like the part where you honestly seem believe you have any clue what you are talking about when actually you don't.This is no more "socialist" than your fire department, interstate highway system, municipal power company, public utilities, post office, or any of the other government run agencies you likely take advantage of every day without even thinking twice about "communism." In fact, it's a lot LESS socialist than all of those things, since it's largely just a regulation overhaul. We're (unfortunately) not even getting a single payer system! Your criticism is misplaced, and your projection concerning the fate of this bill in the senate is largely wishful thinking. You see, this bill will change in the senate, and then it will pass. Afterward, that altered bill will be merged with this one, at which point many concessions, whatever they are, can by added back in.Make no mistake, this bill is VERY similar to what will soon be law.

You're clearly living in the past.Companies like GM and GE and Coca Cola and so on can't move their jobs out of the country fast enough and do everything they can to break unions, screw employees and avoid taxes.I'm not sure I'd even call what these bankers do a business, either. More like manipulate the market and leech off the manipulations. They're like a parasite; they're not contributing anything to their host.
